Around a Small Mountain is a film by 82 year old director Jacques Rivette, one of the most overlooked and under appreciated film makers of all time.  At just under an hour and a half, it is by far his shortest film, contrast that to his longest being a massive 12 hours in length.  It tells the fascinating and charming story of a circus performer played by frequent Rivette collaborator Jane Birkin.  If this turns out to be his final film as many are predicting, it is a fitting swan song for his 50 plus year career.

The title is "Out 1, noli me tangere" (1971), sadly there is no DVD or VHS available and the only copy I've been able to locate is a poor recording from an Italian TV broadcast.
